Support device for a vacuum pump fixed in an engine compartment of a vehicle
The present invention relates to the field of supports, in particular vacuum pumps.
More particularly, the invention relates to the support of vacuum pumps intended to be integrated in an engine compartment of a motor vehicle.
The engine compartment of a vehicle is generally particularly constrained, so that the space available for installing new components is reduced.
It is known to associate a vacuum pump with the braking system in order to guarantee effective braking. The installation of such a vacuum pump can be complex in the constrained environment of the engine compartment.
In addition, the wiring in the left front area of the engine compartment must be maintained effectively so as not to be subject to vibration and wear by abrasion.
The installation of the vacuum pump must therefore be done taking care not to transmit vibrations during its operation.
Reference can be made to documents CN204236456 - U, and CN203902534 - U which each describe a device for fixing a vacuum pump.
However, such fixing devices do not prevent the propagation of vibrations during the operation of the vacuum pump, nor restrict the travel of the wiring of the vacuum pump.
There is a need to improve the vacuum pump support systems, especially for motor vehicles.
The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a device for supporting a vacuum pump specific to the environment in which said pump is located, without damaging the environment.
The subject of the invention is a device for supporting a vacuum pump intended to be fixed to a wall, in particular of an engine compartment of a vehicle.
The support device comprises two vibration damping systems for the pump and a device for fixing the wiring of the vacuum pump.
Advantageously, the support device comprises two tabs for holding the vacuum pump, which surround said vacuum pump and each comprise a fixing means and one of the vibration damping systems.
Thus, the attachment of the vacuum pump to the support device is done at two attachment points.
For example, each of the damping systems comprises two damping studs, for example made of rubber, coming in pairs to tighten a fixing tab of the vacuum pump cooperating with a fixing means, for example a stud, screwed into the tabs of maintenance.
The damping pads effectively filter vibrations from the operation of the pump.
For example, at least one of the holding tabs comprises, at one of its ends, the device for fixing the wiring of the vacuum pump.
The wiring fixing device can have the form of a clip in which the wiring is snapped. Alternatively, any other shape could be provided for the wiring fixing device. Thus, the wiring is kept in position and any risk of abrasion is avoided.
Advantageously, the support device comprises two fixing interfaces, arranged substantially perpendicular to the retaining tabs and extending along a substantially vertical axis, and each intended to be fixed to the wall, for example by means of screws and bolts. Thus, thanks to the two screw fixing points of the support device in the engine compartment, the position of the support device is maintained reliably.
The first fixing interface can extend transversely beyond the second fixing interface towards the wall. Such a form of fixing interfaces makes it possible to avoid contact between the support device and the bead of mastic present on the wall of the engine compartment.
Advantageously, at least one of the fixing interfaces comprises a system for pre-positioning the support device on the wall to guarantee rapid and easy mounting of said support device in the engine compartment. The prepositioning system is here in the form of a tongue extending from the first fixing interface towards the wall of the engine compartment and is inserted in a housing provided for this purpose in said wall.
The support device is, for example, made in one piece, by molding a plastic material.
Thus, the weight and the number of such a part are considerably reduced.
According to a second aspect, the invention relates to a motor vehicle comprising an engine compartment comprising a wall, a vacuum pump comprising a wiring and a device for supporting the vacuum pump as described above.
Other objects, characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear on reading the following description, given solely by way of non-limiting example, and made with reference to the appended drawings in which:
- Figures 1 and 2 show perspective views of a device for supporting a vacuum pump according to the invention; and
- Figures 3 and 4 illustrate perspective views of the vacuum pump mounted on the support device of Figures 1 and 2;
As illustrated in Figures 1 to 4, a support device, referenced 10 as a whole, is intended to be fixed for example in an engine compartment 20 of a motor vehicle, visible in Figure 4. Such a device support 10 can be integrated into an engine compartment of all types of vehicles requiring a vacuum pump (automobile, motorcycle, tractor, train, etc.).
The support device 10 is configured to support a vacuum pump 30 and its wiring 32.
The support device 10 comprises two fixing interfaces 11, 12, extending along a substantially vertical axis Z, and each intended to be fixed on a wall 22 of the engine compartment 20, for example by means of screws 11a, 12a . Thus, thanks to the two screw fixing points of the support device 10 in the engine compartment 20, the position of the support device 10 is maintained reliably. The hole (not referenced) for receiving the screw 11a can advantageously be an oblong hole to facilitate the positioning of the support device 10 relative to the wall 22.
As illustrated, the two fixing interfaces 11, 12 are distinct from each other, the first fixing interfaces 11 extending transversely beyond the second fixing interface 12. Such a form of the fixing prevents contact between the support device 10 and the bead of mastic 24 present on the wall 22 of the engine compartment 20.
As a variant, provision could be made for the two fixing interfaces 11, 12 to be combined.
One of the fixing interfaces 11 comprises a pre-positioning system 13 of the support device 10 on the wall 22 of the engine compartment 20 to guarantee rapid and easy mounting of said support device 10 in the engine compartment 20. The pre-positioning system 13 is here in the form of a tongue 13a extending from the first fixing interface 11 towards the wall of the engine compartment and is inserted into a housing 26 provided for this purpose in said wall 22.
The support device 10 further comprises two tabs 14, 15 for holding the vacuum pump 30, extending substantially perpendicular to the second fixing interface 12 on the side opposite the wall 22 of the engine compartment 20.
The retaining tabs 14, 15 surround the body 34 of the vacuum pump 30 and each comprise a fixing means 14a,
15a and a system 16, 17 for damping the vibrations of the pump 30.
Each of the damping systems 16, 17 comprises two damping pads 16a, 16b; 17a, 17b, for example made of rubber, coming in pairs to tighten a fixing tab 36 of the vacuum pump 30. Said studs 16a, 16b; 17a, 17b are mounted on studs 14a, 15a is then screwed into the holding tabs 14, 15.
The damping pads 16a, 16b; 17a, 17b make it possible to effectively filter the vibrations originating from the operation of the pump.
Thus, the attachment of the vacuum pump 30 to the support device 10 is done at two attachment points.
As illustrated in detail in FIG. 4, one of the holding lugs 15 comprises, at its end, opposite the fixing interface 12, a device 18 for fixing the wiring 32 of the vacuum pump 30.
The fixing device 18 for the wiring 32 has here a form of clamp in which the wiring 32 is snapped in. One could alternatively provide any other shape for the wiring fixing device. Thus, the wiring 32 is kept in position and any risk of abrasion is avoided.
The support device 10 is made, for example, of plastic, which considerably reduces the weight of such a part. In addition, the support device 10 is made in one piece.
Thanks to the vacuum pump support device according to the invention, the vacuum pump is fixed and installed without damaging the environment, while reducing the transmission of vibrations from the vacuum pump and avoiding abrasion of the wiring. .
